We take copyright seriously, both because it's the law and because a lot of what we put on this site — product photography, written descriptions, the way we style a page — takes real time to create. We'd expect the same respect for other people's work, and this page explains how we handle copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

If you think we've used your copyrighted work without permission

We're not trying to use anyone's content without permission, and if something on our site does infringe your copyright, we'd genuinely rather know and fix it than have it turn into a bigger issue. If you believe that's happened, send a written notice to our Designated Agent at info@viloralab.store and include the following — a notice missing this information can't really be acted on, so it's worth taking the time to include it all:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
2. A description of the copyrighted work you're claiming was infringed — specific enough that we can actually identify it
3. The exact page or URL on our site where you found the material, with enough detail for us to locate and verify it
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law
5. Your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email address
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you're either the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

What happens once we receive a valid notice

We'll review the claim and, if it holds up, remove or restrict access to the material without unnecessary delay. We'll also let the person who posted or provided that content know it's been taken down and why, rather than just quietly removing it without explanation. If someone repeatedly ends up on the receiving end of valid infringement claims, we reserve the right to terminate their access to our site or services altogether — this mostly matters for repeat, deliberate cases, not a single honest mistake.

If you think your content was taken down by mistake

Sometimes a takedown happens because of an overly broad claim, or content gets flagged that shouldn't have been. If that's happened to you, you can send a counter-notice to our Designated Agent with:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the material that was removed, and where it appeared before it was taken down
3. A statement, made in good faith, that you believe the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification
4. Your name, address, and phone number, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you're located (or, if you're outside the US, wherever Vilora Labelle is based), and that you'll accept legal service of process from the person who filed the original complaint

Once we receive a valid counter-notice, we may forward a copy to the original complaining party. Unless they let us know they're pursuing legal action against you, we may restore the material or stop disabling access to it within 10 to 14 business days of receiving your counter-notice.

A note on how we source our own content

To be transparent from our side: our product photography, descriptions, and site design are either created by us directly or licensed properly for our use. If you ever notice something on our site that looks like it might be someone else's uncredited work, we'd genuinely appreciate a heads-up even outside a formal DMCA process — email us and we'll look into it quickly.
